On April 9-10, 2008, the 4^th International Conference “Fixed and Mobile Communication Network Convergence” (FMC-2008) organized by Inform-media Russia was held in Moscow (Russia).

More than 70 participants from 6 countries took part in the «FMC - 2008» International Conference, among them representatives of large manufacturers of equipment ( Nokia Siemens Networks, Huawei Technologies Co, Panasonic, etc.), developers, systems integrators and service providers ( LinkBit(US), CTI, «Globus-Telecom ltd.»), operators (OJSC «АSVT», CJSC “Sky Link“, AFC «Systema», OJSC «МТS», CJSC «Sonic Duo», CJSC «Synterra», OJSC «VimpelCom», OJSC «Sibirtelecom», «Gars Telecom», CJSC «Systema Mass-media, etc.), consulting and scientific centers ( Analysis Mason Group (Readbox Consulting), RANS Regional Branch «Information and Telecommunications Technologies», Central Research Institute of Communications , CJSC «Scientific Technical Center «COMSET», etc.

The «FMC - 2008» International Conference  was devoted to issues of fixed and mobile networks and services convergence, as well as legal and technical aspects of FMC service implementation in fixed and mobile operator networks. Great attention was paid to marketing aspects of convergence and service quality in the FMC environment. The questions of FMC service commercial effectiveness and business models were also discussed at the Conference.
