More than 200 participants from 10 countries took part in the «Wireless Broadband - 2008» International Conference, among them representatives of large manufacturers of equipment (Intel, HP Russia, Nokia Siemens Netvorks, Erricson, Huawei Technologies Co, Motorola, Qualcomm Inc, Runcom Technologies, Ceragon, etc.), developers, systems integrators and service providers (CDG, Concern Gudvin, RK-Telecom,), operators (Telecom Italia, Vodafon UK, OJSC «АSVT», CJSC “Sky Link“, AFC «Systema», OJSC «МТS», CJSC «Sonic Duo», CJSC «Synterra», OJSC «VimpelCom», OJSC «Sibirtelecom», «Gars Telecom», CJSC «Systema Mass-media, etc.), consulting and scientific centers (ETSI/TC DECT, IKS-Consulting, J’son & Partners, RANS Regional Branch «Information and Telecommunications Technologies», Comilfo Consulting, CJSC «Scientific Technical Center «COMSET», etc., and also representatives of s: WiMAX Forum, АDC, IA-450 and National Telecommunication Association of Kazakhstan (NTA).

The «Wireless Broadband - 2008»International Conference was devoted to issues of fixed and mobile wireless broadband access(BWA) networks and services, as well as legal and technical aspects of BWA service implementation in fixed and mobile operator networks. Great attention was paid to marketing aspects of broadband access service in 3G/WiMAX/DECT, convergence  and QoS in WiMAX networks, development of BWA backhaul. The questions of network confidentiality, WiMAX, Mesh-network commercial effectiveness and BWA business models were also discussed at the Conference.
