International Conference «Mobile and Wireless Broadband business: Influence of WRC-07 Decisions on Mobile and Wireless Broadband Communications Development»

On August 14, 2008, the International Conference «Mobile and Wireless Broadband business: Influence of WRC-07 Decisions on Mobile and Wireless Broadband Communications Development» organized by ITT RAEN jointly FGUI GSPI RTV, Association of Regional mobile operators (Association-800) and JSC «Modern Telecommunication» was held in Moscow (Russia).
More than 30 participants from 3 countries took part in the Conference, among them representatives of Mobile telecom operators (OJSC «MTS», Tele2 (Sweden) , OJSC «Megafon», K-Cell (Kazakhstan)) è BWA operators ( JSC «Trivon Networks», JSC «PRESTIGE», JSC «Flex», JSC «Soyuz Telecom», JSC «CENTAUR» and other.), ïðîèçâîäèòåëè è èíòåãðàòîðû îáîðóäîâàíèÿ manufacturers and vendors of telecommunication equipment UMTS/WiMAX( Alvarion, JSC «Cedicom», JSC «Kedax Electronics», JSC «Media Monitoring»), research and consulting centers (FGUI GSPI RTV , MTUCI, Comilfo Consulting, JSC «Modern Telecommunication»), Associations and Operator unions (Association of Regional mobile operators, WiMAX Forum Association, National Union of communication operators and enterprises ).
The Conference was opened by Vice-President RAEN, academician Lida Ivanizkaya. During the Conference Finally WCR-07 Decisions in issues of 450 – 470 MHz, 790 – 806 MHz and 2300 – 2400 MHz bands Spectrum Utilizations for Mobile and Wireless Broadband access were considered (Chairman of ITT RAEN, Dr. Valery Tikhvinskiy.), Spectrum utilization perspectives of frequency bands identified in WRC-07 to IMT (3G/LTE/WiMAX) in the Russian Federation was reported ( Academician IAC, prof. Yury Diev.), Features and problem of Spectrum utilization in the bands identified in WRC-07 to IMT in the light of EMC aspects with Radio Air Navigation Systems were submitted (Chairman of ITT RAEN, Dr. Vyatcheslav Vysotchin.), The Certification issues of WiMAX Profiles in the bands identified in WRC-07 to IMT were reported ( Regional Director of WiMAX Forum in Russia and CIS, Dr. Sergey Portnoy.).
In the scope of the Round Table Needs of National Allocation Changing and some GCRF Decisions Revision in the digital TV band (824 – 862 MHz) were discussed; Features of 900 MHz band utilization for UMTS in Russia was reported; National chipset project for WiMAX in the bands identified in WRC-07 to IMT (2300 – 2400 MHz and 3400 – 3600 MHz) was submitted. Representatives of Association of Regional mobile operators, WiMAX Forum Association, National Union of communication operators and enterprises and Chairmans of Working Groups of ITT RAEN took part in discussions (Dr. Vladimir Ivanov, Vasiliy Levchik, Dr. Sergey Portnoy, Dr. Vladimir Arkhipkin and Dr, Vasiliy Skrynnikov).
