The decision of RANS Presidium on establishing a subpanel of Academy foreign members under the RANS Branch “Information and Telecommunications Technologies” was made public on October, 21 at the 23rd International Conference “Mobile and Wireless Business: Standards and Technologies” held in Juan les Pins (France).
In his report, RANS ITT Branch Chairman Prof. V.O. Tikhvinskiy, Doctor of Science (Economics), announced the names of first foreign members:
1. Dr. Michael Sharp (UK), Vice-President of ETSI;
2. Dr. Bolat Nurgozhin (Kazakhstan), Head of KCell Legal Department Unit;
3. Dr. Julius Golovachev (Germany), Managing Consultant, Head of PLM Group, DETECON International GmbH.
The new foreign members of RANS expressed gratitude to the RANS Presidium and RANS ITT Branch members for the appreciation of their contribution in the development and introduction of global standards and telecommunications technologies.
In the process of discussions a program of joint work, research finding publications and cooperation in science and technology was shaped.
The program for 2009 includes the running of 23rd Round Table “Prospects for the Development of Telecommunications Law” (April 2009, Vienna, Austria).
