The Report and Election Meeting of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences was held in Moscow (Russia) on November 26, 2008. Prof. O.L. Kuznetsov, RANS President, Doctor of Engineering, presented a summary report on the activity of the Academy for the period of 2004 – 2008.
The Meeting accepted the report of the RANS Auditing Committee, elected the RANS steering body (President, Vice-Presidents, Honorary Vice-Presidents, and Members of the RANS Presidium) and Auditing Committee, and approved alterations and amendments to the RANS Charter. Academy awards and diplomas for scientific discoveries were presented at the meeting.
Members of the RANS Branch “Information and Telecommunications Technologies” participated in the meeting. Chairman of the RANS ITT Branch Valery O. Tikhvinskiy, Doctor of Economics and RANS Academician, was elected a Member of the RANS Presidium.
