The 7th annual international conference "Growing the Reach & Profitability of Mobile & Broadband Services in the CIS" ("Russia & CIS Com")

The 7th international Conference “Growing the Reach & Profitability of Mobile & Broadband Services in the CIS” (“Russia & CIS Com”), organized by Informa Telecom and Media took place from June 2nd to 3rd in the business center in the Radisson SAS (Slavyanskaya) Hotel in Moscow, Russia.

More than fifty participants from eight countries took part in the conference (Russia, Slovenia, Ukraine, Belarus, Switzerland, UK, Germany, Sweden) representing a range of investors (EBRD), regulators (Russian Ministry of economic development), vendors (Nokia Siemens Network, Tellabs etc), developers and system integrators (Lattens, Jump, Sicap, Convergence Partners, Globus Telekom etc.1), carriers (Beltelecom, Tele2 Russia, Trivon/Virgin Connect, Comstar, Central Telegraph, Sky Link, MTS, Sonic Duo, Prestige, Vympelcom etc.), consulting and research companies (Detecon International, Regional department of “Information and Telecommunication Technology” IT RAEN) as well as association of wireless operators (Wireless Ukraine, UMTS Forum, Association of Regional operators (ÀÐÎÑ).

International conference “Russia & CIS Com” was dedicated to the obtaining of profitability for mobile and wireless services in Russia and CIS in the time of recession. Further topic that had been discussed intensively was the strategy and marketing approaches for gaining ultimate profitability of networks, effective competition on the market for broadband services.

In the course of the conference a great attention was devoted to the extension of broadband network services in the areas with limited access to the communication services, limited competitiveness as well as limited access to the broadband fixed network and IPTV services.
