International conference «Mobile Internet in Russia and CIS» (Mobile Internet 2009)

3rd – 4th December, 2009 the international conference «Mobile Internet in Russia and CIS» (Mobile Internet 2009), organized by Inform-Media Russia took place in the business centre of Holiday Inn Hotel in Moscow, Russia.
Around 50 participants from 3 countries (Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan) participated in the conference representing Radio Frequency Services of Russian Federation (FGUP GRFC, FGUP RCE-CFA), major manufacturers (Intel, etc.), operators (Altel, Comstar-OTS, Vympelcom, Sky-Link, MTS, Megafon, Prestige, Gars-Telekom etc.), system integrator and service providers (Russian Microfinance Center, New Digital Projects, MMG/brandmobile, Opera Software, Yandex etc.) as well as consulting companies and scientific centres (ComInfo Consulting, RAEN Information and Telecommunication Technologies, Giprosvyaz, Intellect Telecom, MTUSI, Comset, IKS-Consulting, GfK Rus, Media lawyers etc.).
International Conference «Mobile Internet – 2009» was focused on the current state and development of mobile Internet in Russia and CIS countries, the role of corporate and individual users: discussion of mobile internet usage patterns, identification of investment opportunities in the mobile internet development in today's market conditions, building of sustainable business models regarding the collaboration in the mobile internet services market, pricing strategy of mobile internet services, the prospects of mobile internet in cellular and WiMAX networks, media capabilities of mobile Internet (mobile TV, video, music), legal and marketing aspects of providing Internet services in mobile environments, as well as information security.
In the course of the conference around 20 presentations and reports were made (ww.inform-media.ru). Members of the RANS department "Information and telecommunication technologies" attended the conference as well.
