28-th STQ Mobile Meeting of STQ Committee of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute

28-th STQ Mobile Meeting of STQ Committee of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute took place at the A.S. Popov Central Museum of Communications in St. Petersburg (Russia) on 31 August - 1 September 2010.

The host of 28-th STQ Mobile Meeting was the Regional Branch of Information and telecommunication technologies of RAEN which was sponsored by OJSC «MegaFon», JSC «InfoTel» and JSC «SIC «Geyser».

12 delegates from 7 countries (Austria, Germany, Norway, Russia, France, Czech Republic, Sweden, and Switzerland) representing ÅÒSI Secretariat, largest equipment producers (Telefon AB LM Ericsson), European service providers (Deutsche Telekom,` Telecom Austria TA AG, Vodafon D2 etc.), and research centers (SwissQual, P3 Solutions, JSC «InfoTel», RAEN «Information and Telecommunications Technologies» Branch) participated in the meeting.

More than 18 documents on the main directions of STQ Mobile/ETSI activities were considered:

  • TS 102-250-1 (RTS/STQ-00107m) Part 1: ongoing work within STQ and ITU-T on QoS terminology and the creation of the common framework document;
  • TS 102-250-2 (RTS/STQ-00171m) Part 2: revision of Part 2, clarification on the usage of trigger points for different protocol layers and/or different interfaces.;
  • TS 102-250-3 (RTS/STQ-00172m) Part 3: revision of Part 3, development of an email measurement methodology fitting well to version 1.7.1 of TS 102 250-2, a stable draft is scheduled at this meeting.;
  • Feedback from STQ#34 on the MTSI input for TR for Call Establishment Performance;
  • Presentation of the final draft EG on throughput measurement guidelines;
  • Presentation of a draft CR for Part 2 regarding new MTSI parameters;
  • Presentation of a draft CR for Part 2 regarding SMS Completion Failure Ratio parameter;
  • Proposed changes to TR 102 506 Calculation of MOS Speech Quality per Call;
  • Initial thoughts on Trigger Points for voice parameters regarding LTE;
  • Presentation of CR for TS 102250 Part 2 - Clarification on the usage of trigger points;
  • Present a initial CR for a Group Call services measurement methodology for TS 102250 Part 3.
