RAEN Presidium meeting (Protocol ¹ 197)

On November 20th, 2007, was held the RAEN Presidium meeting (Protocol ¹ 197), where Tikhvinskiy V.O., Doctor of Economical Science, RAEN Corresponding Member reported about proposals of creation Region Branch «Information and Telecommunication Technologies» (ITT RAEN) in Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (RAEN) structure. As the main science directions of new branch ITT RAEN were determined several points:- Development of new radio interfaces and network technologies of wideband wireless access;
- Development of new radio interfaces and network technologies of mobile communication 4th and 5th generations;
- Development of new radio interfaces and network technologies for networks of mobile digital TV;
- Creation of innovation decisions in antenna technologies, which allow increase an effectiveness of wideband wireless access networks and mobile telecommunication networks with nanotechnology application;
- Development of conceptual questions of convergence of wideband wireless access networks and mobile telecommunication networks;
- Enhancement of noise-immunity and spectral effectiveness of wideband wireless access networks and mobile telecommunication networks.
